AMITY VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE

In 1977, The Negros Occidental Filipino Chinese Amity Club, Inc. a civic Club composed of Filipino Chinese descent, organized the AMITY Volunteer Fire Brigade. The Primary purpose in organizing the brigade is to strengthen the relationship between the Filipinos and Chinese through direct involvement in improving the quality of life in the community by assisting the government in providing emergency services.

Amity Volunteer Fire Brigade is a non –government organization. It exist and operates through donation from the civic-minded citizenry. It is a 100% volunteer organization.

VISION

A community with an enhanced spirit of volunteerism, giving high regards to human life and property, provided with quality responders in case of fires , rescue, and medical emergencies.

MISSION

To improve the quality of life of the communities we serve through the protection and preservation of life and property. This is accomplished by providing various emergency supports and services; prevention through training and education; as well as planning and preparation for disaster response and recovery.

GOALS

  • Assist the Bureau of Fire Protection in fire suppression.
  • Provide Pre-hospital Care and transport for the community.
  • Provide Rescue Services for the community.
  • Operates 24/7 emergency communications center.
  • Disseminates the message of Fire Safety to the Community through lectures, talks , seminars, and other activities.
  • Train community members in First Aid and CPR.
  • Properly train and equip the volunteer responders in their field of emergency response.
